A REVIEW ON "THRONE OF GLASS" BY SARAH J. MAAS 4.5/5

Image
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas: An exciting story for those who seek adventures.  The book is about Celaena Sardothien, an 18 year-old assassin and prisoner. One day she’s offered a deal to be part of a competition, in which only one among the most skilled competitors would become the king’s champion. If she were to win, it would be her chance to finally earn her freedom.   Therefore, we have a main character who’s strong-willed and extremely skilled, using both of her expertise in fighting and her physical knowledge to face her challenges and opponents. The book goes beyond a mere competition. It explores hidden mysteries in the castle, where the tests take place, leading the reader into a suspenseful road.   I had a lot of fun reading this book. You understand the struggles of the character and certainly root for her!       Amazon’s link: https://www.amazon.com/Throne-Glass-Sarah-J-Maas/dp/1619630346/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1637444442&sr=8-1

A REVIEW ON "A CHRISTMAS CAROL" BY CHARLES DICKENS 5/5

Image
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens: A story to warm your heart, no matter how cold the weather is.  The book reflects upon the dissatisfaction Dickens had by observing the poverty and miserable condition of the homeless, needy people and how society would do nothing about it, forgetting the true meaning of Christmas.  Therefore, we have a main character who’s greedy and absolutely hates Christmas, his name is Scrooge. All he thinks about is work, profit and himself, forgetting about the well-being of the surrounding ones, but his egocentric world turns upside down, when by Christmastime, he receives the visit of his dead business partner’s spirit, Marley.  I truly did have a great experience reading this book, a great book to start reading Dickens novels. Definitely recommend it!    Amazon’s link: https://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Carol-Charles-Dickens-author/dp/1840227818/ref=sr_1_17?crid=1318K5G8YR6OE&dchild=1&keywords=a+christmas+carol&qid=1632096714&sprefix=a+c
